Questions
Straight answers.
Which CAD formats do you take?
STEP/STP, IGES, SolidWorks, Fusion 360, Rhino, OBJ, FBX and GLB/glTF. Send the assembly with its parts intact; that is what makes a true part-by-part teardown. Large files can go by a restricted folder link.
Will you sign an NDA? How do you handle confidential products?
Yes. We are happy to sign your NDA before you share files. Files stay in restricted folders, previews are private links, and nothing is shown publicly until you approve it, including founding-client case studies.
What if I only have photos?
We can build a model from photos and dimensions. The outside will match; the internals become an illustrative teardown, like the V8 in our 458 study, unless you can share internal parts. We agree the level of accuracy in the quote.
Who owns the work?
You receive usage rights to the final films, stills and explorer for your product, as set out in the written scope. Source files, music licensing and any third-party assets are listed in the quote.
Can the explorer go on Shopify, Kickstarter or my website?
Yes for your website and Shopify: it runs in the browser and embeds with a short snippet. Kickstarter and Indiegogo don’t allow embedded code, so there we supply the films and loops and link out to the hosted explorer.
How does payment work?
Custom projects use 50% after you approve the quote and 50% after you approve the preview, before delivery. The quick image and model packages are paid in full online. See packages and package terms.
